What’s Leaving Netflix in July 2025

July 2025 marks a major content shake-up on Netflix as fan-favorite movies and series, including beloved franchises and Originals, prepare to exit the platform.

Netflix subscribers, take note, July 2025 will be a pivotal month for content departures. The streaming giant is removing dozens of titles from its library, including major franchises like The Twilight Saga and the Ocean’s trilogy. These removals come as part of Netflix’s regular licensing cycle, a behind-the-scenes process that significantly shapes what users can stream.

The departure list includes a mix of blockbuster hits, cult classics, and international gems. Among the most notable exits are Dune: Part Two, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (July 28), and Scream VI (July 25). Even Netflix Originals like Bitter Daisies, Call My Agent!, and Harvey Girls Forever! are on the chopping block, reflecting the complexity of Netflix’s licensing agreements.

Fans of iconic sagas should plan their watchlist accordingly. All five films in The Twilight Saga are leaving, alongside Ocean’s Eleven, Twelve, and Thirteen. For many, this means a last chance to binge-watch these cinematic universes before they vanish from the platform.

Franchise farewells aren’t the only concern. Popular series such as This Is Us (July 8), Insecure (July 3), and Wynonna Earp (July 26) will also disappear, impacting long-time followers of serialized drama. Anime fans won’t be spared either, Sailor Moon Crystal and Overlord (Seasons 1–4) are also scheduled for removal.

Why is Netflix letting go of so much? The answer lies in licensing. Most titles are on the platform for a limited time due to complex agreements with content creators.
