Talamasca Expands Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe This Fall

AMC has unveiled the first trailer for Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order, the latest chapter in its Immortal Universe. The supernatural spy thriller debuts October 26, 2025, on AMC and AMC+.

AMC is broadening its Anne Rice adaptations with Talamasca: The Secret Order, a six-episode event series premiering this fall. Following the success of Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches, this new installment shifts gears by fusing paranormal lore with espionage intrigue.

The story centers on Guy Anatole (Nicholas Denton), a young man who can hear things others cannot. Recruited into the Talamasca, an ancient secret society devoted to monitoring supernatural beings, he soon faces a crisis when the group’s London headquarters is infiltrated and its hidden knowledge stolen. What follows is a genre-bending blend of spy thriller tension and gothic mystery.

The trailer teases an ensemble of key players, including Elizabeth McGovern as Helen, leader of the New York Motherhouse, and William Fichtner as Jasper, a powerful vampire with control of the London branch. Maisie Richardson-Sellers appears as Olive, Guy’s handler, while Celine Buckens portrays Doris, a woman entangled with a coven of witches. Jason Schwartzman joins as Burton, a guest-starring vampire with charm and menace.

Notably, the series weaves in familiar faces from the franchise. Eric Bogosian returns as Daniel Molloy, the journalist from Interview with the Vampire, and Justin Kirk reprises his role as Raglan James, a Talamasca agent. Their presence strengthens the sense of a connected Immortal Universe, rewarding fans who have followed AMC’s adaptations since the beginning.

Behind the camera, the show is helmed by John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side) and Mark Lafferty (The Right Stuff), who serve as executive producers and co-showrunners. The creative team describes the project as a “supernatural spy series,” highlighting its distinct position within the Anne Rice canon.

Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order marks a bold step in AMC’s attempt to build a shared world of vampires, witches, and now, secret societies. With its October premiere timed perfectly for Halloween, the show aims to draw in both loyal fans and newcomers intrigued by the unusual mix of genres.

The official trailer, titled “Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order | Official Trailer | AMC+”, has already sparked conversation online, signaling strong anticipation for this expansion of the Immortal Universe. Viewers can expect a mix of gothic atmosphere, suspense, and high-stakes drama when the series arrives.
