Prime Video Unveils Star-Packed Slate for July 2025

From action thrillers and romantic comedies to live sports and musical spectacles, Prime Video’s July 2025 lineup offers something for every streaming fan.

Prime Video is pulling out all the stops this summer, debuting a vibrant mix of high-profile originals, returning favorites, and blockbuster films throughout July 2025. The platform, owned by Amazon, is clearly aiming to dominate the streaming landscape with fresh content every few days, ranging from politically charged comedies to chilling true-crime stories and international live events.

Kicking off the month on July 1, Prime Video adds a hefty batch of licensed hits: 2 Fast 2 Furious, the Rocky saga, Saving Private Ryan, No Country for Old Men, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Robocop, and Mad Max, alongside full seasons of Sherlock and Shooter. Also premiering that day is the 2025 WNBA season coverage with Caitlin Clark and A’ja Wilson in the spotlight.

On July 2, Heads of State bursts onto the scene. Directed by Ilya Naishuller, this action-comedy features Idris Elba, John Cena, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in a political showdown involving MI6, the White House, and international chaos. It’s one of the most anticipated originals this summer, with a big-budget feel and global cast.

True-crime fans should mark July 11 for One Night in Idaho: The College Murders, a harrowing documentary revisiting the 2022 University of Idaho tragedy. That same day, fans of martial arts can stream ONE Championship, featuring Allycia Hellen Rodrigues vs. Johanna Persson from Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium.

Another standout is Ballard, dropping July 9, which introduces Maggie Q as LAPD detective Renée Ballard in a spin-off from the Bosch universe. With direction from Jet Wilkinson and a cameo by Titus Welliver, the series promises gritty storytelling and franchise continuity.

Mid-month brings crowd-pleasing content for younger audiences: The Summer I Turned Pretty returns for Season 3 on July 16, followed by Surf Girls: International Season 2 on July 17, produced by Reese Witherspoon. Romance lovers can also catch Follow (Juegos de Seducción) on July 18, starring Diego Boneta and Martha Higareda.

One of the most high-profile live events will be PBC on Prime on July 19, headlined by the legendary Manny Pacquiao vs. Mario “El Azteca” Barrios, live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Then on July 25, Prime Video brings the stage to the screen with Wicked (2024), starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande in the musical prequel to The Wizard of Oz.
