Helluva Boss Makes Prime Video Debut with New Episode This September

The hit adult animated series Helluva Boss is leaving YouTube behind, at least for now. Starting September 10, 2025, the show’s first two seasons and a brand-new episode will stream exclusively on Prime Video.

Helluva Boss, the wildly popular animated series created by Vivienne Medrano (a.k.a. VivziePop), is making the jump from YouTube to Prime Video. Starting September 10, 2025, Seasons 1 and 2 will be available for the first time on Amazon’s platform. Alongside them comes Mission: Zero, a brand-new episode debuting exclusively on Prime Video with a 45-day window before heading to YouTube.

Produced by SpindleHorse Toons, Helluva Boss has built a cult following since its 2019 pilot and official launch in 2020. Known for its chaotic humor, irreverent musical numbers, and surprisingly poignant character arcs, the show’s shift to a major streaming service signals a significant milestone in indie animation’s mainstream breakthrough.

The Helluva Boss – Date Announce | Prime Video video leans into the show’s trademark edge, issuing a tongue-in-cheek content warning that includes “traffic violence,” “unresolved childhood trauma,” and “rampant demon horniness.” Prime Video is clearly embracing the mature themes that made the series a viral sensation, with over 129 million YouTube views and top-tier audience demand rankings on Parrot Analytics.

The Prime Video deal also includes the upcoming Seasons 3 and 4, which will follow the same release structure: exclusive debut on Prime Video followed by later uploads to YouTube. That strategy mirrors the rollout of Hazbin Hotel, Medrano’s other hit series, which will return to Prime Video with Season 2 on October 29, 2025. Both shows are part of the shared “Hellaverse” universe.

To support the growing franchise, Atlantic Records has signed on as the official music partner for the Hellaverse. Soundtracks for Helluva Boss Seasons 1 and 2 will drop on September 10, syncing with the streaming launch. This marks a new chapter for the show’s beloved musical identity and opens doors for broader media collaborations.

Fans can expect the move to bring more polished production values, cross-promotional synergy with Hazbin Hotel, and possibly even new merchandise. Yet the show’s core appeal, its no-holds-barred comedy and endearing demon misfits, remains firmly intact.

With a first-look deal now secured between Medrano and Prime Video, the Helluva Boss leap from YouTube to streaming giant is more than a distribution change, it’s a signal of how creator-driven animation is reshaping the industry.
