The Hills Are Back in Town: King of the Hill Revival Hits Hulu August 4

After 15 years, Hank, Peggy, and Bobby Hill return to Arlen in a timely new season of the beloved animated series, now grappling with drones, digital life, and retirement dreams gone sideways.

King of the Hill returns for its long-anticipated 14th season on August 4, 2025, exclusively on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally via the Hulu hub. Created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, the new installment brings ten all-new episodes that fast-forward 15 years and reunite fans with their favorite characters, now navigating a radically different Arlen, Texas.

Produced by 20th Television Animation and Judge and Daniels’ Bandera Entertainment, the series revives its signature small-town satire to tackle big, modern themes. From smart homes and AI paranoia to gender-neutral bathrooms and political polarization, Season 14 casts a comedic eye on the digital transformation of American suburbia.

This time around, Hank and Peggy Hill are back from a stint abroad, after Hank’s propane career took him to Saudi Arabia, and ready to enjoy retirement. But the Arlen they return to has changed. Local businesses have shifted, the high school has a new principal, and Dale is deeper into conspiracy theories than ever, this time obsessing over tech surveillance.

Meanwhile, their once-awkward son Bobby Hill is now 21 and living in Dallas, where he’s blossomed into a full-fledged chef. This evolution offers fresh territory for the show, exploring Bobby’s identity and independence while contrasting it with Hank’s nostalgic values and Peggy’s ambitious quirks.

The original cast is largely intact, including Mike Judge (Hank/Boomhauer), Kathy Najimy (Peggy), Pamela Adlon (Bobby), Stephen Root (Bill), and Lauren Tom (Minh/Connie). Johnny Hardwick, who voiced Dale, completed some recording before his passing in 2023. Toby Huss will take over for the remainder of the season. Meanwhile, Ronny Chieng voices Kahn, previously portrayed by Huss.

The revival blends heartfelt nostalgia with biting commentary on American life today, staying true to the show’s roots while embracing a changed world. The exact video title, King of the Hill | Official Season 14 Trailer | Hulu, has already sparked enthusiastic reactions, with longtime fans eager to see how the Hills handle everything from Zoom fatigue to vegan neighbors.
